It's hard to believe a show as good and honest, funny and smart as Freaks and Geeks would be cancelled after the first season and not even allowed to run all of its episodes originally.  But this is America.  Where Family Guy, The Big Bang Theory and American Idol are all commercial hits, but real art is something of a rarity.  Though there have been a lot of great shows in the last fifteen years to be honest, and most of them have had their fair share of seasons (e.g. Dexter, House, Daria, Malcolm in the Middle, Curb Your Enthusiasm etc).  As snooty as this sounds the common will always prefer superficial entertainment to true art that says something and expresses the depth of the human character, but as long as art and beauty exists, those who search for it may find it and be made happy by the artistry of man.  Most of us are all searching for something.  In a way I found what I was looking for in philosophy.  In a way I'll always be searching; but that's okay.  Life after-all is all journey and no destination.  A content man has all he needs.

Be well.
