I'm just starting Rameau's Nephew, and I can already tell it has great insight and is about one of the most important subjects a human can write on: is goodness (or virtue) more beneficial for ourselves or for society than wickedness or mediocrity? Should someone be good even if it seems like one suffers for their virtues? Is the sacrifice worth it? Of course I would say yes. I will likely have something more to write when I am further into it. Like I said, not very far into it, but so far I'd highly recommend it.
